“MY PASSION IS TEACHING AND WORKING WITH THE VOICE. WHETHER BEGINNER OR PROFESSIONAL - I HELP YOU TO TRAIN AND DEVELOP YOUR INDIVIDUAL VOICE.”
MY TEACHING STYLE
My teaching style in a few words? Emphatic, familiar and personal! I encourage my students in their abilities and support them in believing in themselves and trusting their voice.
Every human voice is different and has different needs. Does the voice sound too breathy, too thin, too pressed or heavy? My priority is to give my students a stable speaking and singing voice. My teaching is based on the logic of physiological, acoustic and aerodynamic laws. My students appreciate my warmth and my sense of humour, which are on board from the very beginning and contribute to relaxation.
EMERGENCY HELP AND WORLDWIDE ONLINE VOCAL COACHING
Do you run a booking agency and need your artists or speakers new singing techniques or emergency help on tour? Then I am the right person for you! I give my students specific tools to help them find the right balance for their voices. And: I offer emergency solutions for situations directly before a performance or a recording session - directly in the studio, behind the stage or even via Skype if I can't be there in person.
I use the IVA technique (Institute for Vocal Advancement) in my lessons which is based on 17th and 18th Century principles of singing developed by the Old Italian School of Singing.
Our goal is to train voices to sing in a free and natural manner, smoothly, from the bottom of the range to the top with no breaks or sudden changes in quality. Training in this technique gives the singer and speaker access to all dynamics, with tonal clarity and flexibility. It also helps to improve a singer’s range, endurance, stamina, breath control, resonance, vocal strength and vocal quality across all styles of music without fatigue or damage to the voice. We accomplish these results by training the singer to find a balance between airflow and intrinsic muscular resistance, all within a resting laryngeal posture.
