MANY YEARS OF STAGE EXPERIENCE
Whether on television, radio or on stage - in the last 25 years I have performed in over 1000 shows all over Europe. I am not only active on stage, but also behind the scenes: I have been working as a voice coach for over 20 years and offer my international clientele vocal training in English and German.
My goal? I want each of my clients to get the most out of their voices! Exercises individually tailored to singers and keynote speakers help to strengthen the voice and expand the vocal range from the lowest to the highest note - without any breaks or sudden changes in vocal quality.
EDUCATION & Work at INSTITUTE FOR VOCAL ADVANCEMENT (IVA) & BIMM Germany
After graduating from high school I completed a three-year training at the Berufsfachschule für Rock- und Popularmusik in Bavaria as a state-approved director of popular music. My main subject: rock, pop and jazz vocals. Among my lecturers and mentors was Udo Dahmen, who later founded the Popakademie in Mannheim. At the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg I successfully participated in the Kontaktstudiengang für Popularmusik. During this time I worked closely with Jane Comerford from "Texas Lightening" and Karin Ploog.
I continue to educate myself - in the USA as well as in Europe - and combine my knowledge with my yoga experience and other relaxation techniques. Since 2013 I have been one of the instructors at the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA), which has its headquarters in the USA. It is an international network of vocal instructors that teaches singers and offers further education and training. The voice teachers of IVA work with internationally successful bands such as "The Killers", "Imagine Dragons", "Panic! at the Disco" and over 30 Broadway stars, as well as for the TV show "The Voice".
My work for the Institute for Vocal Advancement is very versatile: As a Regional Area Coordinator for Europe and Area Representative for Scandinavia I am involved in coordinating the activities for IVA in these countries.
I was also working as a Lead Lecturer for Vocals BA Hons Popular Music Performance / Techniques at BIMM Hamburg. BIMM University offers a wide range of degree programs in modern music, performing arts, and filmmaking to over 9,000 students at 15 colleges in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany.
Member of The Federal Association of German Singing Teachers (BDG)
With around 1,300 members, BDG is the largest association for singing teachers (m/f/d) in Europe and the second largest in the world. As such, they are committed to the professional interests of their members and pursue the promotion of cultural education in the field of singing.
As a professional association with certified quality management and with its GPZ and PPG courses, the BDG is an AZAV-certified educational institution.
PRIVATE life
My free time is dedicated to my family and friends, yoga, travelling, wine, food, nature and my cats. Currently I live and work mainly in Hamburg / Germany.
