DEVELOP YOUR VOICE. EXPAND YOUR POSSIBILITIES. FIND YOUR OWN SOUND.

Your voice is unique. Your vocal coaching should be, too.

Whether you're taking your first steps as a singer, looking to overcome a technical challenge or wanting to take your professional performance to the next level, I'll help you understand your voice and discover what it can do.

My coaching combines vocal technique, musicality and artistic expression. We work with the individual voice — its strengths, its challenges and its possibilities — always with your personal goals in mind.

I work with beginners, experienced singers and professional artists across a wide range of musical styles. My aim is to give you the technical tools and confidence to sing freely, expressively and in a way that feels true to you.

MY APPROACH: PERSONAL, CREATIVE & TECHNICALLY PRECISE

I believe that good vocal coaching starts with listening.

Every singer brings a different instrument, musical background and set of experiences. Some voices are naturally breathy or light, others are more powerful, pressed or weighty. There is no single sound or approach that works for everyone.

I meet you where you are and help you understand how your voice works. Together, we'll identify what you want to achieve and find the exercises and techniques that best support your development.

My teaching is based on the physiological, acoustic and aerodynamic principles of the voice. I combine this technical understanding with practical exercises, musical exploration and individual feedback.

The atmosphere is personal, relaxed and encouraging — with room for curiosity, experimentation and humour. I want you to feel comfortable exploring your voice, making discoveries and trying things you may not have thought possible.

IVA TECHNIQUE – THE FOUNDATION OF MY VOCAL APPROACH

Since 2013, I have been an instructor with the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA). The IVA approach is an important part of my work as a vocal coach.

It draws on established principles of singing, including concepts associated with the Old Italian School of Singing from the 17th and 18th centuries.

The aim is to develop a free, balanced and coordinated voice, with smooth transitions throughout the vocal range and without unnecessary breaks or sudden changes in vocal quality.

A central part of this approach is finding a balance between airflow and the intrinsic muscular resistance of the vocal folds, together with an appropriate resting position of the larynx.

Through targeted exercises, we work towards:

  • Greater vocal range and flexibility

  • Smoother transitions between registers

  • Improved breath coordination

  • Greater tonal clarity and resonance

  • More control over dynamics

  • Increased vocal strength and endurance

  • A versatile vocal quality that can adapt to different musical styles

The technique is not about making every singer sound alike. It's about understanding the individual voice and developing the coordination that allows it to work efficiently and expressively.

MUSICALITY & ARTISTIC EXPRESSION

Technique is important, but singing is about much more than producing the right notes.

Your voice is a means of communication, emotion and artistic expression. I want to help you connect your technical abilities with your own musical personality.

Depending on your interests, we can work on:

  • Song interpretation and phrasing

  • Musical expression and dynamics

  • Riffs, runs and ornamentation

  • Finding your own vocal sound and style

  • Exploring different genres and vocal approaches

  • Developing confidence in your artistic choices

  • Connecting technical exercises with the music you love to sing

Whether you sing pop, rock, metal, R&B, jazz, soul, blues, country, indie or singer-songwriter material, we'll explore the techniques and musical approaches that serve your style.

PERFORMANCE & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

For singers who perform regularly or are preparing for professional opportunities, coaching can also focus on the practical demands of performing.

This may include:

  • Stage presence and expressive body language

  • Performance technique and confidence

  • Rehearsal run-throughs and performance preparation

  • Vocal preproduction for recordings

  • Lead and backing vocal preparation

  • Optimising vocal performance for live shows and studio sessions

  • Warm-up and cool-down routines

  • Preparing the voice for demanding performance schedules

My own experience of performing in more than 1,000 shows helps me understand the practical challenges that come with singing professionally. I bring this perspective into our work, so that technical development connects with the realities of performing.

FOR BEGINNERS, EXPERIENCED SINGERS & PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS

You don't need to be a professional singer to benefit from individual vocal coaching. And you don't need to fit into a particular category or musical style.

Perhaps you want to build a solid foundation, feel more confident singing, explore your vocal range or finally understand a technique you've been struggling with.

Perhaps you're an experienced artist looking for more flexibility, a stronger vocal performance or new ways to express yourself musically.

Wherever you're starting, we'll work with your voice and your individual goals.

My teaching is personal, empathetic and encouraging. I want you to feel supported, challenged and inspired to discover what your voice can do.
